Someone will have to eventually explain to me what the benefits of early morning meditation are. Brains, specifically the mind, are absolutely numb when they first wake up in the morning. Getting any thoughts going is almost impossible, to say the least. How is quieting the mind going to make this any better? Why should someone try to quiet something that is not making any noise?

Ironically, these words are being written at a time when the coffee has yet to be poured, and breakfast feels ages away.
